BECKSTRAND CANCER FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES NEW ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (May 7, 2008) – Beckstrand Cancer Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing financial assistance and patient advocacy to cancer patients and their families, announces five new advisory board members: Dr. Jerry Finklestein and Dr. Mel Marks from Miller Children’s Hospital, Dr. Ernest Katz and Dr. Stuart Siegel from Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles, and Nicole Rubin from Ronald McDonald House. Noted for their work in the field of pediatric oncology, they join three existing board members who donate their time by overseeing the Foundation’s health-focused patient advocacy and psychosocial programs.
“Each member comes from a diverse background and brings valuable insight and experience,” said Lil Spitzer, Executive Director of Beckstrand Cancer Foundation. “We look forward to working with the new members in our continued efforts to create programs that will benefit Orange County and Los Angeles-area cancer patients and their families.”
The new members join Dr. Neil Barth from Hoag Cancer Center, Dr. Minch Fong from Mission Hospital, and Dr. Simon Tchekmedyian of Pacific Shores Medical Group.
