BECKSTRAND CANCER FOUNDATION’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTS NEW OFFICERS
NEWPORT BEACH, California (July 20, 2009) – Beckstrand Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving and enhancing quality of life for cancer patients and their families, today announced that its Board of Directors elected new officers at a regular meeting on June 10, 2009. All of the Board’s members were present for the vote.
After James Stephen stepped down from the position of Board President following the completion of his term, George O’Connell, owner of O’Connell Landscape Maintenance, and Jay Hamrick, owner of UBS Printing Group, were elected to share the role. Hamrick previously served as Vice President for the Board. Board Secretary, Patty Collins, was subsequently nominated and elected to Vice President. Mary Dougher-Foster was voted in as Treasurer, and Kathryn Meeker Harman was voted to serve as Board Secretary.
The officers will serve two-year terms before the next election is held. Executive Director, Lil Spitzer, extended congratulations to each of the Foundation’s new Board officers and extolled their support and dedication to fulfilling the mission of the organization.
